Yoga Alliance International 200 Hour Teacher Training – Raise The Bar

Alakh Yog yoga school in India was established with the aim of contributing to the mission of Yoga Alliance International vision of developing a global community of individuals who are committed to practising genuine Yoga traditions and are bound together by a shared spirituality. Our Yoga Alliance International 200-Hour Teacher Training is without a doubt one of the most extensive recognised yoga training programs available, with the primary goal to assist you in developing your practice of yoga.

If a yoga instructor has successfully completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training course that is registered with Yoga Alliance, they are eligible to register as a RYT 200. It is, however, not possible to satisfy the 200-hour requirement by attending numerous trainings at the same time nor can all of the required training hours originate from a single educational institution.

Becoming An Internationally Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher

Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT) are yoga teachers who have completed Yoga Alliance’s requirements for training and teaching. Training from a Registered Yoga School (RYS), confirmation from Yoga Alliance and annual fees and CE are required. The Yoga Alliance International 200 hour Teacher Training is designed to prepare graduates to teach with confidence and ease. This particular program conducted at Alakh Yog is unique in that we allocate professional lecturers and teachers to each theory subject, as well as supporting students in deepening their own practice.

The trainees are provided with consistent personal and group feedback, and they are given the opportunity to apply the input to each new teaching practice. This allows them to proceed with ease and support toward the final objective of becoming a confident and professional teacher. Our innovative outcome-based, progressive learning method has a high post-course graduate teaching rate. They start teaching in a secure and supervised atmosphere the first week of training to build confidence and identify their teaching voice early on. During the first week, trainees teach in pairs, then small groups, then big groups, and eventually the entire class. Using this strategy, students with varying levels of confidence have blossomed into confident yoga teachers.

Teachers who are designated as training faculty in the syllabus have met Yoga Alliance’s requirements for certification.

Non-Contact Hours – The number of hours in which students receive instruction without the presence of a teacher is referred to as “Non-Contact Hours.” It is required that all non-contact hours relate to at least one of the five educational fields.
